Electronic Ignition Kits are fully Supplemental Type Certified for the corresponding engine types.
Increased Fuel Efficiency
Replacing one magneto will typically improve fuel economy on average by 10-15%. Many operators have reported consistent fuel savings of 1.5 – 2.0 GPH or greater.
12V or 24V
This kit can be used on either 12V or 24V systems.
Lower Maintenance Costs
Most parts are not life limited. Reference the I.C.A. for recommended maintenance. This combined with reduced spark plug fouling means lower maintenance costs.
Improved Horsepower
There will be an improvement in horsepower, smoother engine operation, improved high-altitude performance, and easier hot starts. Our MAP Sensors adjust spark timing automatically so timing is adjusted with altitude.

This kit uses a Crank Shaft Trigger Wheel for firing the ignition system. The trigger wheel is mounted on the bare crankshaft just behind the prop flange. NOTE: Minimum clearance of 0.650” between the front of the engine case and propeller studs is REQUIRED. Please check this dimension before starting installation or ordering the kit.

The EIS-62000D Electronic Ignition Kit is a fully STC’d kit to replace the Bendix single drive, dual magneto with a complete, DUAL ELECTRONIC ignition. The two ignition systems are completely independent of each other and do not have any common failure modes. This kit can be used on either 12V or 24V systems. Supplemental back-up power is required.
This kit eliminates A.D. Notes, eliminates repetitive inspections, and improves performance. Kit includes: all the required parts to replace the Bendix single drive, dual magneto used in some Lycoming engines. CORE CHARGE: $1,000.00; refundable upon return of good core removed from aircraft.
